We have decided to use wild boar as one of our Beco Food for Dogs recipes because it is delicious for dogs and also much better for the environment. Often ingredients in dog foods come from sheep and cattle, which have four stomachs. They are grazing animals, like deer, and are incredibly un-eco-friendly, because they produce a huge amount of methane. Wild boar have only one stomach and therefore emit much less methane. It means that wild boar is a much more 'eco-friendly' meat source.
THE BEST & HEALTHIEST CHOICE YOU CAN MAKE FOR YOUR DOG
Beco’s Food for Dogs' wild boar recipe is packed with natural prebiotics and superfoods like broccoli and pumpkin. Those natural, fresh and healthy ingredients are important because they help dogs’ digestions and immune system. Pumpkin is super-nutritious for dogs. It's also a rich source of fibre and is loaded with lots of disease-fighting nutrients, including potassium, magnesium and Vitamins C & E – a superfood. So when you feed your dog the best, you can be confident that Beco Food is full of natural goodness.
PET OWNERS DESERVE AN ETHICAL CHOIC
Beco Pets co-Founder George Bramble recently became both a parent and a pet parent! He knows that discerning shoppers nowadays care deeply about the food they give their families. And George also only wants the best for his Labrador, Tarka. George says: “We believe pet owners should have an ethical choice. People who shop in farmers’ markets around the country, in London’s Borough Market or Waitrose, these days really care where their groceries come from. They also want the best for their dogs and to have the choice of where their quality pet food ingredients come from." Tarka agrees!
